The original draft of the Statute of the Permanent Court was in French. An English version was prepared and the authentic texts of that Statute were English and French, the French version being the original. The contemporary documents do not indicate how that English version was prepared, but presumably it was a translation undertaken by the Secretariat, no doubt in consultation with competent English-speaki…
