The Secretary-General’s report for the review at the 48th session of the General Assembly included observations by the Court on the unsatisfactory nature of the current regime. The pensions were not correlated to salaries, as are judicial and other pensions. The Court’s pensions were considerably lower than those of comparator countries in which pensions are correlated with salaries. The Court expressed its opinion as follows:
