Biography

Muḥammad Ngeleruma was mai during the transitional period between Saifawa rule and the dynasty of the Shehus.

1. Q. fī rithāʾ Mai Muḥammad Ngeleruma.

94 vv. elegy for his father, written in Jumādā I 1250/5 September-4 October 1834. Opens: A-yā lahfa nafsī li-faqd al-faqīhī * Abī wa-imāmī wa-ẓiʾr al-ʿiyālī. Last (1967b) gives his name as Ḥamdūna.
