Ahluwalia, Joginder Singh, obtained his Ingénieur Docteur from Paris University in 1957, headed the Indian Oil Research and Development Center, Faridabad, from 1972 to 1981, and worked for Chevron Oil Corporation from 1982 to 1992. Since his retirement he has been engaged in Sikh studies with focus on early Sikh schismatic literature. His writings include Sikhān da Choṭā Mel (2009, with Pritam Singh) and Sodhī Pirthī Cand dī Racnā (2010), and Sodhī Miharvān dī Kāv-Racnā and Sodhī Harjī dī Kāv-Racnā are forthcoming.
