Growth Trends in China's Three Major Economic Centers

Through 2005 China's most dynamic economic regions—the Yangtze River1 Delta, the Pearl River Delta, and the Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei region2—continued to show strong growth. As of 2004, these three regions cumulatively accounted for just over 10% of the national population, but generated 41% of GDP.
