1 [19c] After Ahmad Shah returned to Qandahar, Sardar Jahan Khan sought to placate Adinah Beg because the latter had a full knowledge of the finances of the country. Adinah Beg was then in hiding in Laki Jangal. The sardar sent him a letter (raqam) and robe of honor (khilʿat) and conferred on him the government of Miyan-i Duabah.
