[92c] When Sardar Muhammad ʿAzim Khan, as noted above, won his battle with Ranjit Singh and routed him, he became overweeningly conceited and withheld the revenues of Kashmir from the royal coffers. So his brother, Wazir Fath Khan, left Kabul for Kashmir at the head of an army, intending to give him guidance and show him the error of his ways.
